Under the Conservation Area heading on the Lewisham website, there’s info about this consultation:
Have your say: Local Validation Requirements
Lewisham Council is consulting on proposed updates to its Local Validation Requirements for planning applications. The consultation runs until 29 September 2026.
But it isn’t clear (to me) whether this consultation is about planning generally or just planning in conservation areas.
Is the Planning Committee of the FHS likely to comment?

I get the impression there are a lot more attempts to challenge Article 4 directives in conservations areas, aluminium frames replacing wooden windows, black frames replacing white, walls and lawns removed to put in parking among many others and Lewisham is facing difficulty keeping this in check.
Back to the validation lists, it seems to be planning generally across Lewisham. These are submitted documents regarding the application. I wonder what level of inspection is carried out to confirm what is submitted is actually correct.

I think we know the answer to that.
I’m also concerned about what isn’t submitted e.g. this in the middle of the town centre in the conservation area!!
