Some changes to peak services during the school summer holidays until the end of August which affect Southern peak services to and from London Bridge from Monday.
A slight correction to the school holiday timetable, as some schools are open on Monday and Tuesday, the full peak service on Southern continues until then.

Normal service on Saturday. Sunday sees Windrush line services operating 4 trains per hour between Highbury & Islington and West Croydon only. There are no services to Crystal Palace and Southern services aren’t operating.
Catford Bridge/Lower Sydenham: (Southeastern)
Normal service on Saturday, diverted to Victoria on Sunday.
Crofton Park/Catford: (Thameslink)

A reminder if you use Catford Bridge or Lower Sydenham that Waterloo East and Charing Cross are closed for 22 days from Sunday.
On weekdays, the service pattern also changes with trains serving Blackfriars or London Bridge.
In the morning peak: 0533, 0603, 0633, 0702, 0732, 0803, 0833 and 0903 go to London Bridge operating fast from Ladywell.
Off peak to London Bridge is at x03 and x33 past each hour.
Return services from London Bridge are at x14 and x44 past each hour.
Services to Blackfriars start at 0548, 0618 and then every 30 minutes at x48 and x18 past each hour. These trains call at Lewisham and then Elephant and Castle.
Return services from Blackfriars are at x20 and x50 each hour.
Ticket validation on the London Underground from Southeastern.
You can travel on any reasonable route on the London Underground between London Bridge, Waterloo, Victoria, Blackfriars, Cannon Street, Elephant and Castle and Embankment.
Most paper tickets will be accepted at TfL ticket gates. However, eTickets, sTickets and Smartcards will not be recognised. To help with this, we’ll have additional staff at London Underground station entrances to manually check and validate tickets where needed. If you’re charged, you can claim a refund.
Unfortunately, it isn’t practical to have Southeastern staff at every London Underground station to check tickets. If your ticket isn’t accepted and you’re charged, you can claim a refund.
If your journey via a reasonable route isn’t covered by the ticket acceptance we have in place or you use Contactless or Oyster and you’ve been charged, you can claim a refund.

Last train from London Bridge is at 0023 and Victoria at 0008.

Sunday sees trains diverted every 30 mins to Victoria (early morning) and Blackfriars during the rest of the day.

On Sunday services operate every 30 minutes to Blackfriars via Lewisham.

Saturday 22 August 2026: reduced service on Windrush line at the moment. West Croydon service not running so basically half the normal service. TfL status update page describing it as “minor delays”.
From the 3rd September until Spring 2027, the lift that connects the ticket hall and street level at Canada Water will be closed for replacement.
Lift interchange between the Windrush line and the Jubilee line to the ticket hall isn’t affected. If you require Canada Water at street level, take the Jubilee line to Bermondsey and change for local buses.
What on earth is happening with the up escalator from the Jubilee line to Southbound windrush line at Canada Water?
It must be a year now that its been out of service with the down escalator running..I can walk up the stairs (out of puff at the top if I hurry however!) but I’ve seen people really struggling when carrying shopping or those who are’nt fit..
Its kind of crazy that the escalator has been out of service for this long and I see no end date or anything?

Windrush line operates normally on Saturday while on Sunday there is no service all day between Sydenham and West Croydon with services diverted to Crystal Palace. On Sunday evening the Windrush line will close early due to engineering works in the core section. The last train to HOP/FH is at 1927 from Highbury & Islington, 1940 from Whitechapel and 1948 from Canada Water. After this time use Southern services from London Bridge. The last train from Forest Hill to Highbury & Islington is at 1855.
