Bin Collections on Bank Holiday Weeks

Are bins collected on Bank Holidays in Lewisham?

Our collection day is normally Wednesday. I was expecting Thursday to be collection day this week following the August Bank Holiday. But bins were collected this morning, our regular day. Thankfully I heard the compactor truck and was able to get our general waste bin onto the street in time.

It would be useful to know if this is the new norm, or whether we need to check for each holiday?

Usually they are delayed a day but checking the schedule last week we were surprised to see today was business as usual.

Same, It messed with my head a bit when they came on the same day they always do.
