Anyone else have electrical problems from the storm last night? Fridge died and breaker switches tripped out.

Two breakers went off. One reset no problem, but one kept tripping out - I finally narrowed it down to the wall-mounted switched fuse for the control box that is wired to exterior lighting. Just weird that the fridge expired at the same time. Claude tells me that
power surges from lightning strikes (even nearby ones, not direct hits) can travel through the grid and damage appliance electronics, especially older ones without surge protection.
The fridge is 18 years old, so maybe has served its time.
