We’d like to invite you all to come along to the event we are putting on to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Forest Hill Society.
Date: 17 October 2026, 2pm to 5pm
Venue: Stanstead Lodge, 260 Stanstead Rd, London SE23 1DD (come and see the newly refurbished areas of this historic building)
RSVP here: Click to see the event page
However, it will not all be about looking BACK 20 years, but an opportunity to talk about the NEXT 20 years as well.
First, we will have Liam Shrivastava, Mayor of Lewisham, Ellie Reeves MP, and also Jonathan Whitson Cloud from the Horniman, to give us their take on Forest Hill and Lewisham in 20 years.
Then Robert McIntosh, Chair of the Society, will give a brief insight into the Town Centre Redevelopment Plan that we’ve been working on as well.
Finally, you will get your chance to have a say on one of several topics to help make Forest Hill, Honor Oak, Kirkdale and Perry Vale - in fact the whole of SE23 - an even better place to live in 2046. We’ll also have representatives from many other local organisations to share their insights too. It should be fun and interactive, and we will take your visions to help drive our work with local councillors and Lewisham Council for years to come.
Come along. Bring friends, family and neighbours so we hear from everyone!
