Improving access to the Waterlink Way

https://lewisham.moderngov.co.uk/mgEPetitionDisplay.aspx?ID=2142&RPID=123934516&HPID=123934516

Please do take a look at the petition on the council’s website asking for additional access to the Waterlink Way (and don’t be put off by its request to set up an account - apparently, you need to do so even if you already have one for, e.g. a brown bin - something to do with it being on a different part of the website (‘moderngov.co.uk’) - but it definitely only took me a couple of minutes max when I did it).

The red line on the map below shows the route the petition refers to.

And the further map below shows the full route proposed between Catford and Forest Hill - the petition is asking for just the first section to be implemented. You can see Sustrans’ 2023 feasibility study for the route here https://lewishamcyclists.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Sustrans-Catford-to-Forest-Hill-Feasibility-Study-240301-FINAL.pdf

I meant to say - the info above is a re-posting of the petition - in case anyone missed the earlier post, and this time I’ve provided a couple of maps - hopefully useful!

And - also meant to say - having a good number of signatures on the petition will help the councillors (from Perry Vale and Rushey Green wards) make the case to the officers.
