Sainsbury’s Bell Green store closed suddenly yesterday due to a power cut. It’s still closed today and the Sainsbury’s website says it will re-open tomorrow, Thursday 16 July. I don’t know if the petrol station is affected too.

Hope the power issue is not an example of an over-strained grid from this extended heatwave?!
Cash Machines and the petrol station have been open today. The main supermarket is due to reopen tomorrow.
The store reopened yesterday (Thursday). Very reduced range of goods in the chilled sections. I didn’t look in the frozen section. Dread to think how much stock they must have needed to discard.
I’m hearing rumours that it has happened again, and the store is closed once again because of a power cut.
I wonder whether this is anything to do with the construction, or if it is an issue with power in the area overall
Love Bell Green on Facebook has reported that the superstore is running from diesel generators as the fault still hasn’t been repaired.
