Ounce 10 Coffee - review

I thought I would kick off this section of the site with a personal review of one of our great local businesses.

I don’t drink too much coffee out of the house, partly because I’ve mostly given up caffeine for health reasons - so I’m not addicted enough to have to seek it out, and because decaf options can sometimes be rather disappointing.

However, I have to say I absolutely LOVE the decaf flat white at Ounce 10. You really cannot tell the difference with a caffeinated version, and it really is made properly as a creamy flat white (not an expensive version of a latte).

They also have a nice selection of pastries and muffins (which I have been known to sample), but I don’t know if they offer savoury lunch options - maybe others have tried those?

The shop is rather awkward in size, but it is amazing what they have managed to create in what was our local framing shop. There are a couple of tables indoors at the front and back, but I prefer to sit in the garden area at the back. It has a semi-permanent pergola cover so you can use it even when it is wet or cold.

If you are on Dartmouth Road and fancy a treat, do check it out of you haven’t already. We are blessed with a number of good local coffee shops in the area, but this one is worth the pilgrimage.

And if you’re a regular, what do you recommend?
