I was in Mayow park for the first time in ages, and I noticed that they’re crowdfunding to bring back the fountain. It sounds like a great idea and an excellent addition to the park
I thought I’d share the information I found, but if anyone had more details, let us know.
BTW it seems the donations are made at the cafe rather than online, but maybe there are other ways if you can’t make it to the park
I wonder what functioning looks like. Probably find it involves lots of piping being replaced.

Donations are made online using the QR code on one of the publicity posters, not via the cafe. The Chair of Friends of Mayow Park (Robert Hero) is planning to meet an official from Thames Water to check out the old (lead) piping and how to arrange new piping. The fountain itself will need to go away for restoration and Robert has started making enquiries about doing this. The aim is to have the fountain restored and fully functioning by 2028 in time for to celebrate 150 years since the opening of Mayow Prk.
