The SE23 whisky club has been going for 10 years but we still haven’t tried every whisky!
We meet once a month at a local pub and sample a few drams and learn a little bit more about whisky. The club is open to all but you do need to book in advance as places are limited.
The group is a wonderful mix of people, some of whom know lots about whisky but mostly amateurs who are just enthusiastic to taste different types of whisky and find their own personal taste.
Tastings usually take place monthly on a Tuesday evening, and rumours are that our next tasting will be on 17th March (St Patrick’s Day), when we will be drinking only Irish whiskies.
If this is something that might interest you, you can sign up for information and invites at https://www.facebook.com/groups/se23whiskyclub or send me a PM and I’ll try to remember to post updates as dates are officially announced.

The next SE23 Whisky Club meeting is this Tuesday 21 April, 8pm in the Foresters Arms, and is one of our “Meet The Maker” series. We’ll be joined by Kenny MacDonald, owner of the acclaimed independent bottler Dram Mor drammorgroup.com, who’ll be bringing some of his latest releases for us. Kenny was last in SE23 4 years ago, and I am told it was a very memorable evening.
Tickets are £25. For more information, sign up to the FB group using the link in the post above (or you can message @michael or me)

We have another tasting coming up on 2nd June and there are still a few spare seats. Same time and location as previous meetings.
This month’s theme is Phil’s birthday drinks - which means raiding Phil’s extensive collection for a few extraordinary drams to taste. Cost is £50 - which is one of the more expensive tastings, but reflects the quality of the drams.
