Sydenham events/things!

Dear all, thought it might be worth me semi-frequently popping on here to flag things happening in Sydenham in case of interest. I’ll try and keep it short and sweet!

  • Craft Metropolis will be opening a cafe / bar / tap room shortly. It takes over the unit where good food was (opposite the well-being shop)
  • There is a new food/drink night market run by a company that runs food markets in Beckenham/catford every Friday from July 17th directly on the road outside the station. 5-10pm (road closed so sounds like it will be a proper venue for going out for food/drink)
  • The Moustache will be undergoing some sort of renovation/change in business focus - the owners/cafe isn’t going anywhere but it will have some sort of new lease of life
  • Lastly Ignition brewery on the high street continue to offer loads of events for all - examples include jazz nights, singer/songwriter nights, book club of sorts, quiz nights (1st and 3rd Weds each month), board game night (3rd Thursday each month) and more

Thank @JMLA - it is hard to keep track of all things happening in the area, so another pair of eyes will help :slight_smile:

While this site is primarily concerned with SE23 we definitely want to promote this wider area we share, including Sydenham.

Will be interesting to pop into the night market in future (just one stop on Windrush), and maybe bring the idea to Forest Hill and Honor Oak Park in the future
