The fish and chip shop formerly known as Jollibee

Anyone know what’s happening to the former Jollibee fish and chip shop opposite Forest Hill station? A couple of months ago “UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT” appeared in the window, and I never saw it open again, and now the frying counter has been removed and the interior gutted.

It used to be a really busy pizzzaria called Casa Picone, run by a very posh guy, Peter Andlaw (with a great moustache!), from the mid 80s.
My wife, her sister and a couple of their friends were waitresses and four ex-Alleyns boys who were all living in one of my flats in Dartmouth Road shared the van delivery duties.
Good days!

I miss the once outstanding chips. Always a welcome addition for the walk home after a visible to the pub(s).

Does anyone know the owner of Brockley’s Rock? If they could be persuaded to open a shop over in Forest Hill, the planet would be grateful as a significant amount of carbon is expended with FH residents having to trek over to Brockley for fish and chips.
