The Society's printed newsletter is back!

Have you received yours yet?

For many years we published a quarterly newsletter for members and we had a group of volunteers to write the articles and distribute the copies. Then, as email and blogs became more popular, and the costs of printing and mailing increased, we focused on more regular monthly newsletters by email instead.

But we know it is not the same, and that this also unfortunately was not suitable for all members.

We’ve wanted to get back to printed newsletters for some time, but getting the process started again meant rebuilding our network of AMAZING volunteers to hand-deliver to almost 400 members. Our motivation to kickstart this again came with the funding of the walrus mural and our 20th anniversary. Thanks particularly to all these people (and many anonymous donors too) we committed to printing a special edition

We hope that you enjoy reading this mix of new and historic articles, and that it brings back happy memories.

A very special thanks to @michael for the amazing work putting this together as well as organising the distribution, and also for the support of @John and @kaiarose

If you are not yet a member, but would like to read a copy, then join today and drop me a message and I’ll keep a copy aside for new members.

We’d love to hear what you make of it, and whether you think it would be good to bring back a more regular printed newsletter.
