Walking London Postcodes - SE23 fame

I was doing some research about the area and came across this blog post. It is a bit dated, but pretty detailed.

I’m not sure if we impressed the author all that much, and I feel like there’s a lot of history missing here, but it does show what impression the area makes on interested visitors, and maybe we can find ways to show them something different and new?

I like the idea of Forest Hill being ‘branded’ (or perceived) as an odd collection, I think there is a fractal relationship with Horniman Museum and Gardens in that way.

The odder it is — the better. (sometimes) And by odd I mean mildly eccentric.

But seriously, ‘intrestingness’ is the quality that attracts me to some districts more than others.

By way of example I would cite Clerkenwell. When I did some of my own genealogy I found a direct ancestor living in Clerkenwell Close and I was overjoyed.

I think somebody else (@rob) did a much better job of walking the streets of SE23 back in 2007.

such flattery will get you nothing here

I really ought to revisit those posts though, and maybe do it all over again to see the changes.
