Here’s a random query - I have a fairly old makita 18v drill which has the older type battery connector (it’s been redesigned with a multi pin yellow connector these days). The drill doesn’t work but the batteries come up as faulty on the charger. I wonder if anyone’s got a working battery I can test the drill with and/ or a working drill I can test the batteries with to see where the problem lies, before I buy a new battery? Thanks

I have tracked down someone who definitely has the same battery as me, and will pop round to his house to test it when I get a chance! Meanwhile thanks to Michael for letting me try his!
