Strange (for some), and maybe old-fashioned request …
If you had to have a watch battery replaced, where would you go? I have several older watches in need of batteries and I mainly used to use the jeweller on Dartmouth Road until it closed. I think I found a stall near London Bridge once, but I rarely go there any more.
Where else can one get a new watch battery these days? Or do all watches have to have rechargeable connections these days??
theres a watch repair guy on Lordship Lane a few doors down from the cinema I had a watch battery replaced there..Its a tiny shop I think its called the watch polisher.
I’m not sure whether a Pulsar counts as a nice watch, but he replaced the battery in mine for £15 a few weeks ago. Alternatively, do either of the Mr Jones premises on Dartmouth Road provide that service?
I popped into Mr Cobbler just now and had both watches done - one was £20 (Mr Jones) the other just £10 (Swatch) so worked out the same as the expected £15 each
I’ve used him for keys and shoes for years, but didn’t know about the watches.
