Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone has any intel on why the old Boots (21-23 Dartmouth Road) remains empty and if anyone is lined up to take over?

An application to change the first and second floors into flats (2 x 3-bedroom flats) has recently been granted. The ground floor will remain commercial.
An earlier application proposed to use some of the frontage as an entrance and lobby area for the flats but that was refused by Lewisham. An amended proposal to have the entrance/lobby at the back of the building (accessed from the rear yard) was approved. This will use some of the commercial unit’s floorspace but not as much as if the entrance had been from the front, and obviously it won’t affect the appearance of the frontage either.
